The class of 2005: are they still Staying Alive

Next up we look at the class of 2005. This was Bronco's first recruiting class and the first chance to correct the wrongs of the he who shall not be named. Bronco introduced the stripling warrior mantra and reintroduced the classic uniforms. So far, here is his first class:

The Hits: just ask steve tate if these guys can hit!
Harvey Unga: 488 attempts 2,368 yards 25 tds 86 receptions 964 yards and 1 posterizing hit on steve tate
Jan Jorgensen: MWC all-time sack leader, 24 sacks, 165 tackles, 1 blocked kick
Matt Reynolds: Freshman All-American and best offensive lineman in 2008

The Contributors: Not all-stars but still playing well
Russell Tialavea
Manase Tonga (fingers crossed)
Spencer Hafoka
Luke Ashworth
Vic So'oto
Stephen Covey (scout team Heisman)
Shawn Doman

Graduated: alot of people go to school for 7 years. Yes, they are called doctors.
Justin Robinson: (its sad when you wish our corners would play more like a guy who is 5'7" and 165 pounds and you would gladly take him over them.)
Sete Aulai: (carried on the Jake Kuresa Drive-killing personal foul legacy)
Chris Bolden: very good player when he graduated. ex-marine as well.

Still in the program: still time to improve
Brandon Howard
Kyle Luekenga
Terrence Hooks

The misses: B12! miss!!
Peter Vailahi
Cade Hulbert

What does it all mean?
As you can see already, the 2005 class is much better than the 2004 class. What it lacks in potential felons and police reports, it makes up for it in consistency and contributors. There are only 2 guys who never made it in to school and there are many others who are consistent contributors to the team. You have 3 superstars in Harvey, Matt and Jan also and these guys have fared much better. Bronco got a good but not spectacular class in his first time out as the head man which has helped turn BYU around.

Next up 2006
