Signing Day 2009

Why am I writing this post? I am really bored and sick of studying so I figured I would try something new and review prior recruiting classes starting with Gary Crowtons last recruiting class. You know, the one that included gang rape and and got Mr. Crowton to "resign" and start coaching elsewhere.

What does it mean?
It is hard to fathom that the same recruiting class that produced the all-time leading receiver and a 4 year starter on the line, a NFL caliber wide receiver, and a very good wide receiver in Michael Reed could be considered the worst in recent memory but, it is. First of all, you have 4 guys who were arressted and jailed before the first game. They were never convicted but they also will not be contacting you for a donation to BYU. Second, you have 3 guys who transferred to different schools and so far none of them have really contributed to that school. Third, There are many guys on here who never saw the field under any circumstances. They stayed a year and either quit for injuries or quit the team. Time will tell with the 3 holdovers still in the program but this year was not a great year for BYU recruiting. Next up 2005 Broncos First class.
